Hello, everybody.
I'm from Rome, Italy, and I had to listen to BBC news in order to hear for the first time about Manning's case. Clearly it's not one of our priorities here. I was wondering what's your view on it, especially since most Zoners are from the U.S. Probably he made a big mistake (if it was really him, which is not sure yet) to reveal military secrets taking advantage of the position he was in (he found the files during his service in Iraq, in the badly-protected computers there). But I find it crazy that they punish him too much (maybe he'll be sent to the martial court, the consequence of which is quite obvious), considering that he had at least good intentions. Punishing as a crime something that was trying to reveal other crimes seems a bit odd to me.
Curious to hear what you have to say about this.

It doesn't matter. He knew it was wrong and in the military, issues are black and white.
